Ira B. Sokolow
Ira Sokolow brings over 40 years of experience providing strategic advisory services to business owners and senior executives ranging from the Fortune 500 to the lower middle market. Services include mergers and acquisitions advisory, valuation and business plan preparation, and financial consulting.
Ira founded Sokolow & Associates, Inc. in 1991 to focus on providing services to the middle market. Prior to founding the firm, Ira was a Vice President at Ditri Associates, Inc., a private equity firm that acquired and managed 20 industrial companies with combined revenues of over $1 billion. Prior to Ditri Associates, Ira was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers in their Mergers & Acquisitions group where he oversaw 40 transactions ranging in size from $7MM to $6B, including management buyouts, sell-side and buy-side representation, hostile takeovers, takeover defense and divestiture programs. Ira began his career working for Arthur Andersen & Company as a Senior Accountant and CPA in their tax division.
Ira received an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS in Taxation from Bentley College and an undergraduate degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
